A first locking mechanism is disposed on the rim of the first end. A second locking mechanism is disposed on the rim of the second end. a first cylindrical segment comprising an outer surface, a first end, a second end, a diameter, and a length, wherein said outer surface circumscribes a hollowed interior cavity and comprises a helical groove extending along at least a portion of said length, said groove being configured for retaining a jewelry chain wound about said outer surface for at least a portion of said length, said first end and said second end each comprising a rim extending from said outer surface towards said hollowed interior cavity, wherein said hollowed interior cavity is operable for storing an excess length of the jewelry chain; a first locking mechanism being disposed on said rim of said first end; and a second locking mechanism being disposed on said rim of said second end, said second locking mechanism being configured for mating with said first locking mechanism. |
