A plug contact 10 for connecting a first contact 7 to a second contact 21 comprises a first contact finger 13 with a first surface 15, and a second contact finger 14 with a second surface 16 facing the first surface. The plug contact receives the first contact between supply ends of the first and second surfaces and the second contact between load ends of the surfaces. The distance between the first surface and the second surface is smaller at a middle area 22 than at the ends. The plug contact may have a housing 11 and a resilient member 12, which may be a U-shaped spring (see Fig 3). The middle area may be nearer the supply end than the load end. The first contact may be a low voltage distribution bus bar.
