The device has a drum body (4) including passages (10) leading from an outer side (4a) through cavities to an inner side (4b). The passages are temporarily brought into fluid connection with openings (12) at an outer side (2a) of a bearing flange (2) during rotation of the drum body. The bearing flange is designed for fastening a drive motor (20), which is provided for rotatory drive of the drum body. An intermediate space (28) is formed between an inner wall (2b) of the flange and an outer side (20a) of the motor and provided in fluid connection with the openings, and ventilates the motor.
