PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a programmable controller capable of reducing the number of connector pins while allowing plural kinds of function extension cassettes to be mounted.SOLUTION: The programmable controller includes: a CPU 15; a connector 13 capable of selectively mounting plural kinds of cassettes each having a piece of status information; a selector 52 having a connector-side selector port 36A and a CPU-side selector port 34A, which outputs a signal input to the connector-side selector port 36A to a corresponding CPU-side selector port 34A; a discrimination information storage 52A storing discrimination information according to the kind of the cassettes; and a discrimination section 52B that discriminates the kind of a cassette attached to the connector based on the status information and the discrimination information. The selector 52 outputs signals input to the connector-side selector port while distributing the signals to corresponding CPU-side selector ports 34A according to the kind of the discriminated cassette. |
