PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing and drying machine capable of desirably controlling the time required for a drying process according to a clothing weight corresponding to a dry load so as a to adjust the time required for the entire washing and drying operation.SOLUTION: The washing and drying machine includes: a circulation air path disposed outside a water tub and connecting an air outlet and an air inlet; a heat pump unit having an evaporator disposed in the circulation air path for dehumidifying air in the circulation air path and a condenser disposed at a downstream side of the evaporator in the circulation air path for heating air in the circulation air path, and a compressor for supplying a coolant to the condenser; a blower which is disposed in the circulation air path for supplying the air dehumidified and heated with the heat pump unit from the air inlet into the water tub and constitutes a drying means with the heat pump; a drying clothing weight detection means for detecting a weight of clothing at the end point of time of a dewatering process; and a drying ability setting means capable of setting drying ability of a drying means responding to a clothing weight detected by the drying clothing weight detection means. |
