454,945. Valve circuits for wireless reception. MERDLER, L. R., and BAIRD TELEVISION, Ltd., 58, Victoria Street, Westminster. April 9, 1935, Nos. 11007 and 19295. [Class 40 (v)] A plurality of super - regenerative amplifying valves are quenched by a single local oscillator the carrier frequency amplified by any one valve being different from that amplified by any other valve. The invention is applicable to a superheterodyne receiver or as shown for two separate receivers, e.g. for television image signals and for the associated sound signals. The quench connection is preferably decoupled and may be applied, as shown, to the screen-grid or to the anode. The quench oscillations may be taken, as shown, from the anode and grid circuits of the quench oscillator 3 and applied to the amplifiers 1, 4 respectively. The amplifiers may be triode or pentode valves. |
