PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sludge treatment system and method which can sufficiently increase the thickened sludge concentration at a low cost.SOLUTION: A sludge treatment system 10 includes: a water tank 16 which can store a treatment liquid including activated sludge; a stirring device 18 which is installed in the water tank 16 and stirs the treatment liquid; and a solid-liquid separator 20 which is installed in the water tank 16 and solid-liquid separates the treatment liquid stirred by the stirring device 18 into thickened sludge and a separated liquid. After the activated sludge supplied into the water tank 16 is flocculated by stirring it by the stirring device 18, the treatment liquid is solid-liquid separated by the solid-liquid separator 20 to produce the thickened sludge and to discharge the separated liquid. |
