PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress phosphorus poisoning of a catalyst with high efficiency.SOLUTION: There is provided a catalyst for exhaust gas purification 10 in which a catalyst layer 30 is laminated on a carrier and an uppermost layer of the catalyst layer 30 contains a composite oxide of Ce and Mg. The composite oxide contains 5 wt.% or more and 20 wt.% or less of Mg and has an average particle diameter of 50 nm or more and 300 nm or less. |
