The baffle (1) has a sound absorbing part (2) made of a sound absorbing material such as felt, where the part includes a sound absorption area of a thickness, and a rim area of another thickness that is smaller than the former thickness. A plastic part (3) extends only to the periphery of the sound absorbing part. The plastic part is integral with the sound absorbing part, and includes an overlap region arranged to partly cover the rim area, so as to stiffen the baffle, where the density of sound absorbing material in the rim area is greater than that in the sound absorption area.
