1. A method for affixing an Ethylene-vinyl acetate item to a rubber item, the method comprising:
placing an at least partially cured Ethylene-vinyl acetate item on top of a less than cured rubber item; providing a chamber comprising a first material having a first dielectric constant; providing a chamber cover, wherein the chamber cover is coupled to the chamber, and wherein the chamber cover comprises an aperture extending through the chamber cover, the aperture fully containing a second material having a second dielectric constant; and applying microwaves and pressure through the chamber cover to the at least partially cured Ethylene-vinyl acetate item and a less than cured rubber item for a predetermined amount of time.
