A method by which a power supply device including a plurality of ports supplies power can comprise the steps of: connecting the plurality of ports to a plurality of power consumption devices through an HDMI cable, and supplying power to the plurality of power consumption devices through the plurality of ports; sensing a disconnection between the ports and a first power consumption device among the plurality of power consumption devices; sensing, among the plurality of power consumption devices, a second power consumption device receiving power, which is currently deficient; notifying the second power consumption device of residual supply power levels that can be additionally supplied; receiving, among the residual supply power levels, a request for a power level to be received by the second power consumption device; and additionally supplying the power to the second power consumption device up to the received power level. |
