In order to make it possible, when a fault occurs in one route of a transmission system provided with a first route and a second route in each of which a redundant route is constructed, to automatically switch only the route in which the fault occurred from the active route to the redundant route, this route switching device 1 is provided with: a first selection means 10 for outputting a first main signal; a second selection means 20 for outputting a first switching command signal; a first transmission means 30 and a second transmission means 40 for transmitting an inputted signal to a counter device; a first receiving means 50 and a second receiving means 60; a first monitor means 70 and a second monitor means 80 for outputting an abnormality notification when an abnormality is detected in a second main signal, and outputting a first switching command notification when second information is included in a second switching command signal; and a third selection means 90 for acquiring the second main signal from a selected receiving means. The first selection means 10 and the second selection means 20 switch selection destinations when the first switching command notification is inputted, the second selection means 20 outputs a switching command signal including the second information when the abnormality notification is inputted, and the third selection means switches selection sources when the abnormality notification is inputted. |
