at an interface provided at the barrier, receiving, at a controller side of the barrier, a clock receive signal representing a clock signal and, digitally, control information, providing, based on the clock receive signal, a control signal that digitally represents at least the control information, transmitting the control signal from the interface to a sensor unit on the sensor side of the barrier, and operating the sensor unit according to the control information. |
