PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide silver powder that has high dispersibility in paste and good sinterability at low temperatures, and a method for producing the silver powder in high productivity and low costs.SOLUTION: The silver powder can be obtained by: adding a reducing agent mixture comprising ascorbic acid and a dispersant to a silver solution obtained by dissolving silver chloride in aqueous ammonia; obtaining silver particles on the surface of which an aliphatic acid is adhered by adding the aliphatic acid of from 0.15 mass% or more to 1 mass% or less to the obtained silver particles slurry on the basis of the mass of the silver particles; washing the obtained silver particles with aqueous sodium hydroxide; and further washing the obtained silver particles with water. The silver powder has a chlorine content of 60 mass ppm or less, a carbon content of 0.1-0.3 mass%, and a tap density of 4 g/cmor more. |
