PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method of copper removal form molten pig iron capable of maintaining a distribution ratio of copper at a high level and stably and efficiently removing copper when removing copper from copper-containing molten pig iron by a sulfide-containing flux.SOLUTION: The processing method of copper removal from molten pig iron is characterized by conducting a copper removal treatment in a state of holding an oxygen concentration in a sulfide-containing flux at 20 mass% or less in the copper removal treatment method from the molten pig iron contacting the sulfide-containing flux with a copper-containing molten pig iron contained in a reaction container and removing copper in the copper-containing molten pig iron into the sulfide-containing flux. In this case, it is preferable to adjust the oxygen concentration in the sulfide-containing flux to 20 mass% or less by inhibiting invasion of an oxygen source into the reaction container, removing the oxygen source invaded into the reaction container, or reducing the oxygen source invaded into the reaction container by a reductant. |
