Provided is a direct-current interruption device, whereof the structure is simplified and the cost is reduced, requiring no circuit that causes a current zero point to be generated forcibly. For each phase of a direct-current high speed vacuum circuit breaker 30, one extremity of each of the main contact points 30a, 30b, 30c is connected to the respective positive side output extremity of each phase of a rectifier 20 that rectifies an alternating current power into a direct-current power via a plurality of diodes constituting a bridge, and the other extremities of the main contact points 30a, 30b, 30c are connected to one another to form in common a positive side output line 40. Since a pulse-shaped current flows in the arm of each phase of the rectifier (20) and this current commutes sequentially from one arm of a phase to another, the current becomes zero after the commutation. Since each of the main contact points 30a, 30b, 30c of the direct-current high speed vacuum circuit breaker 30 interrupts a current that is zero due to this commutation, the interrupting is straightforward. |
