PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chord extraction device in which chord progression information corresponding to the progression of music can be created exactly and easily.SOLUTION: A CPU 10 of a chord extraction device 1 removes from a chord score other character strings than descriptions of a fundamental tone and a third interval. In the case where a predetermined condition is not satisfied, in character information included within a predetermined range within the chord score after the removal (range partitioned by a line feed code, a tab code or a specific symbol character string), the character information in the predetermined range is identified as character information representing song lyrics and from the character information within the cord score from which the other character strings than the descriptions of the fundamental tone and the third interval have been removed, character information excluding the identified character information representing the song lyrics is extracted as chord names constituting chord progression information. |
