PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink for inkjet recording having good storage stability of the ink and achieving a high-density image even on a plain paper.SOLUTION: (1) The ink for inkjet recording comprises at least a pigment, a penetrant and water, wherein the pigment is carbon black oxidized with ozone, having a carboxyl group amount of 340 to 880 μmol/g on the surface thereof and a BET specific surface area of 90 to 150 m/g. (2) In the ink for inkjet recording described in (1), the carboxyl group is replaced by an alkali metal salt. (3) The ink for inkjet recording described in (1) or (2) further contains an anionic self-emulsifiable ether-based polyurethane resin. |
