A thin battery in which a battery cell is held by a frame body, where production of the thin battery can be simplified and where the outer shape of the frame body is formed with excellent dimensional accuracy. A thin battery (10) has a battery cell (20) in which a power generation element for outputting predetermined electromotive force is enclosed and sealed by a external covering film (4) and in which leads (1, 2) for electrodes electrically connected to the power generation element are extended from the sealed section of the external covering film (4), and the thin battery (10) also has a frame body (30) for holding the battery cell (20). The sealing section of the external covering film (4) is a flat heat seal section formed at an outer peripheral section of the external covering film (4). The frame body (30) is constructed from an insert molded product and is formed so as to hold the surfaces of both sides of the sealing section. |
