The invention relates to a device (1) for filling a container (5) up to between 80 % and 100 % of its capacity with loose bulk material (4) which is discharged from a filling head (2) in the form of a bulk material stream (3). The device (1) comprises a product-distribution rotor (10) that can be electrically driven to rotate about an axis of rotation (7) running parallel to the stream direction (6) of the bulk material stream (3), said rotor having one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine or more individual blades (8) arranged around the axis of rotation (7) in a stellate manner. The rotary electric drive (34) of the product-distribution rotor (10) is connected indirectly or directly to a system (35) for determining the electric current consumed by the rotary drive (34), which system, when the electric current consumed by the rotary drive (34) rises, as a result of the fill level being reached, above a deactivation-threshold value that can be manually set and/or automatically pre-defined, initiates indirectly or directly the deactivation of at least the rotary electric drive (34) of the product-distribution rotor (10). |
