471,602. Hinges. WILLIAMSON, C. M. March 23, 1936, No. 8634. [Class 65 (ii)] [Also in Group XIV] A mounting for adjusting instruments, such as photographic cameras, in azimuth and altitude and having a single clamping member for both adjustments comprises a member 5 rotatably seated at 3, 4 in one side of an aperture in a base 1, an instrument mounting 7 having an arc-shaped under part 7 which is guided for rotation in a groove 8, Fig. 2, in the member 5, and a clamping bar 9 which causes the mounting 7 and the member 5 to clamp the base between them. The bar 9 engaging a curved slot 10 in the mounting 7, is held by screws 11 on rods 12 carried by the member 5 so that tightening of the screws holds the member 5 against its seating in the base and holds the curved surface 6 of the mounting against a surface 15 of the base. A socket 18 may adapt the mounting for use with the camera described in Specification 456,225, [Group XX], and a cover 19 may be provided. |
