The invention relates to a condensing boiler for heating with a heat-transfer fluid, including an inverted burner 1 in the top of the boiler above a heat exchanger 2 in which the heat-transfer fluid flows and which is formed of several stages communicating with one another, each stage having one or more tubes A to N so as to produce a fluid- circulation length which increases from one stage to the next from the bottom upwards, whereas the inlet 21 of fluid to be heated is branched onto the lowermost stage and the outlet 22 of heated fluid onto the uppermost stage, and whereas a collector 3 for the condensates and combustion gases is formed under the said exchanger 2. The boiler according to the invention is noteworthy in that the stages communicate with one another such that the flow of the heat-transfer fluid is divided with respect to the supply flow rate of the boiler into at least some of the tubes of at least some of the stages furthermost from the burner whereas the flow rate is all grouped back together in all the tubes J to N of at least the stage closest to the burner. <IMAGE>
