Provided are an elevator destination call registration system and a method therefor, which improve elevator service efficiency so as to eliminate user congestion at an elevator landing on a floor at which there is a building entrance/exit. The elevator destination call registration system is provided with: a reading unit (11) which is installed on the outside of a security gate (10) leading to a landing on a floor at which there is a building entrance/exit, and which reads user identification information from an information transmission and receiving device (50) held by a user; a degree of congestion detection unit (103) which detects the degree of congestion at the landing on the floor at which there is a building entrance/exit; a storage unit (101) which stores a plurality of sets of destination floor information in association with the user identification information and in accordance with the degree of congestion; a destination floor call restriction unit (104) which restricts a destination floor or a destination floor and call on the basis of the degree of congestion; a report communication unit (12) which reports on the restricted floor and call; and a cage control unit which controls cage operation in accordance with the restrictions of the destination floor call restriction unit. |
