PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control whether or not laser oscillation is created by prior light irradiation, and to rewrite a light-emission pattern of a laser freely.SOLUTION: Photochromic characteristics are given to a laser medium in a photonic crystalline laser cavity. If absorbance is changed for each location of the medium by performing light irradiation to the laser medium with a predetermined pattern in advance, laser oscillation is created with a specific pattern. |
