PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a substrate for cell cultures to culture cells in a pattern form with a simple process, without an expensive device and with a low cost.SOLUTION: A method for producing a substrate for cell cultures of the invention comprises the steps of: forming a functional polymer layer, which has a binding capable of being hydrolyzed by an acid or a base and controls adhesive property of cells, on a substrate; adhering a functional polymer to a slightly adhesive surface of a covering material whose at least one face is a slightly adhesive surface having removability and pattern-formed, to form a pattern of the covering material on the functional polymer layer; contacting an acid or a base to the functional polymer layer whose surface is exposed and not covered by the covering material, to perform a hydrolysis reaction; and peeling off the covering material. |
