The processing machine for processing plate-shaped workpieces: clamps a workpiece with a workpiece-clamping device (40) above a work table (21, 22, 23); moves the workpiece to a processing position (12) using a workpiece-moving device; performs the main processing of the workpiece using a main processing machine body (10); moves the workpiece to a third quadrant (E3) using the workpiece-moving device and performs a final processing on the workpiece using a final processing device (50). In the final processing stage or the stage in which the workpiece is transferred to a discharge device (70), the processing machine loads a new workpiece in a fourth quadrant (E4) that is above the worktables (21, 22, 23), moves the already released workpiece-clamping device (40) to a position in which the new workpiece can be clamped, clamps the new workpiece that has been positioned at the starting point using the workpiece-clamping device (40), and performs the next main processing. |
