PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire an image signal converged into a target luminance value by instantaneously setting an exposure time even when a rapid luminance change occurs.SOLUTION: The imaging system includes: imaging means for acquiring image data by imaging a sample S in a set exposure time; evaluation value calculation means for calculating an evaluation value on the basis of the signal level of an arbitrary region in the image data; storage means for storing a first threshold as a reference value for determining that an amount of light incident to the imaging means is increased; determination means for determining whether or not the evaluation value is equal to or more than a first threshold, and for determining whether or not the exposure time is longer than the period of the vertical synchronous signal of the imaging means; and exposure time calculation means for, when the evaluation value is equal to or more than the first threshold, and the exposure time is longer than the period of the vertical synchronous signal as the result of determination by the determination means, calculating a new exposure time which is equal to or less than the period of the vertical synchronous signal. |
