A mobile terminal is disclosed. A mobile terminal according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a sensing unit including at least one of a touch sensor and a pressure sensor, a display unit and a controller, the controller configured to display an execution screen of a first application on the display unit, the controller configured to control a predetermined function of the first application according to a change of a value of a first input signal received via the display unit in a state that the execution screen of the first application is displayed. In this case, the value of the first input signal is based on at least one of the area of a region of the display unit corresponding to the first input signal and pressure putting on the region of the display unit.

1. A mobile terminal, comprising:
a display unit that receives a touch input from a user; a sensing unit, including one or more of a touch sensor and a pressure sensor, that senses the touch input; and a controller, electrically connected to the sensing unit and the display unit, that displays, via the display unit, an execution screen of a first application detects a first input signal generated based on the touch input received via the display unit in a state where the execution screen of the first application is displayed, and controls a predetermined function of the first application according to a change in value of the first input signal, wherein the value of the first input signal is determined based on one or more of a touch area on the display unit corresponding to the touch input and a pressure associated with the touch input applied to the touch area.
