PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die casting apparatus which can reduce an influence due to an axial shift in a crosswise direction of a plunger rod.SOLUTION: A die casting apparatus 1 has a plunger part 3 and a pressurizing part 4, and a coupling part 5. On a rod flange 11, a lower circular surface 11b which protrudes downwards, and a pair of vertical planes 11c (planes) which substantially orthogonal to each other with respect to a horizontal direction are formed. The coupling part 5 includes a lower elastic support unit 19 (first elastic support means) which is brought into line contact with the lower circular surface 11b of the rod flange 11 thereby supporting the rod plunger 9 in a vertical direction, and a pair of right and left elastic support units 18 (second elastic support means) which are brought into point contact with the pair of vertical planes 11c of the rod flange 11 thereby supporting the plunger rod 9 in a crosswise direction. |
