Upon starting data communication with the portable terminal device, the image forming apparatus 1 automatically acquires authentication information from the portable terminal device to perform user authentication (first user authentication). When the image forming apparatus 1 successfully performs the user authentication (first user authentication), it determines whether or not the authentication user is identical to an operation user who operates an operation panel 4, and shifts the authentication user to a log-in state where the user can execute at least one function related to image processing, provided that the authentication user is identical to the operation user. |
