PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of reducing margins from ends to a printing region of a printed matter to reduce a used amount of a label.SOLUTION: In a printer 50, distances from its outlet 50a to each of a first cutter blade 71 and a second cutter blade 72 are different, and whether or not the second cutter blade 72 is used is identified by whether or not the front of a sheet detection sensor 61 is blocked. A control section 40 determines that the first cutter blade 71 is used when a signal input from the sheet detection sensor 61 is a Lo signal, and determines that the second cutter blade 72 is used when the signal input from the sheet detection sensor 61 is a Hi signal. The control section 40 further changes a distance when a platen roller 55 conveys a receipt sheet R in a return direction depending on whether the signal from the sheet detection sensor 61 is Lo or Hi. As a result, at least a head margin of the receipt sheet R after cutting can be maintained at fixed length. |
