PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-fusible insulated electric wire that has high reliability of fusion between electric wires and has high insulation properties after fused.SOLUTION: The self-fusible insulated electric wire in one embodiment of the present invention has a linear metal conductor, an insulation layer laminated on an outer peripheral surface side of the metal conductor and a thermal fusion layer which is laminated on an outer peripheral surface side of the insulation layer and which is allowed to expand upon heating. The thermal fusion layer has a matrix composed mainly of a synthetic resin and a chemical foaming agent or a thermally expandable microcapsule dispersed in the matrix and the average thickness expansion coefficient of the thermal fusion layer after heating is not less than 1.1 times to not more than 5 times. The elastic modulus of the matrix of the thermal fusion layer at a foaming initiation temperature of the chemical foaming agent or the thermally expandable microcapsule is preferably 1 kPa or more. The content of the chemical foaming agent or the thermally expandable microcapsule is preferably not less than 1 mass% to not more than 15 mass%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
