PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change arrangement of a processing apparatus involving a change in orientation of a processing apparatus housing without impairing operability and visibility of functional components attached in a suitable direction that is determined according to the orientation of the processing apparatus housing, without the need to replace the functional components.SOLUTION: A processing apparatus 3 is used in connection with an image forming apparatus 2, and can be arranged on a side face 20B or a front face 20A by changing an orientation of a processing apparatus housing 30 respectively to a first orientation or a second orientation, which are different substantially 90° from each other. The processing apparatus 3 includes functional components 4 and 5 that are attached thereto to be exposed to the appearance, and are attached while an attachment direction is changed to a predetermined direction according to the orientation of the processing apparatus housing 30. The processing apparatus 3 of the present invention includes an attachment direction changing mechanism for the functional components 4 and 5, and can change the attachment direction of the functional components 4 and 5 in accordance with the first orientation or the second orientation. |
