PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means for preventing and/or treating cancers, exhibiting cancer cell-specifically treating effects by discovering a fused protein specifically expressing in more cancers (or cancer cell-specific protein interaction).SOLUTION: There is provided an agent for preventing and/or treating cancers containing one or two or more kinds selected from the group consisting of an SAP155 inhibitor, an FIR-SAP155 inhibitor and an FIR&Dgr;exon2-SAP155 inhibitor as active ingredients. In another embodiment of the invention, there is provided a method for identifying a candidate substance of an agent for preventing and/or treating cancers, including a step of bringing a test substance into contact with at least one of SAP155, FIR and FIR&Dgr;exon2, and a step of determining whether the test substance inhibits or not at least one of the function of the SAP155, FIR and FIR&Dgr;exon2, or the bond of the SAP155 with FIR, or the bond of the SAP155 with FIR&Dgr;exon2. |
