PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance energy absorption performance when a columnar object laterally collides with a side sill of an automobile.SOLUTION: An FRP hollow closed cross-sectional side sill 13 is connected to the outer end in the vehicle width direction of an FRP floor panel 12, and energy absorption members 25 and 26 are arranged inside the side sill 13. Since a metallic hollow closed cross-sectional load transmission member 28 extending in the longitudinal direction is arranged on an outer surface in the vehicle width direction of the side sill 13, even when a local collision load is inputted to the load transmission member 28 by a lateral collision with the columnar object 36, the load transmission member 28 having ductility is flexurally deformed, so that energy can be efficiently absorbed by transmitting the collision load to a wide range in the longitudinal direction of the side sill 13. |
