The payload has an input channel receiving navigation signals that are transmitted by a navigation land earth station (NLES) in a frequency band. Output channels broadcast navigation signals in another frequency band. A navigation processor (501) implements operations for each received signal from a set of spreading codes (711) that are assigned with type of navigation signal to be transmitted on one of the bands. A nominal navigation signal is unspreaded in quadrature for each code such that the nominal navigation signal is transmitted in the band assigned with the code. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an augmentation satellite (2) an NLES for receiving an augmentation message and generating a navigation signal (3) an augmentation system. |
