A combined unitary filter cartridge and liquid chamber is used for filtering and storing of liquid respectively, see Figure 4. The system is composed of the filter-ink reservoir 6 which is in liquid communication with the main integrated ink system sub-assembly 15 via four liquid or ink ports, see figure 5 main supply pump ink outlet suction port 16, ink recirculation inlet port 11, ink and air gutter return port 14 and air vent 17. The filter-ink reservoir is connected to the ink system subassembly via these four ports which may be provided with valved Quick-Connect and Disconnects (QCD's). A cartridge type element is located within the housing, see figure 6 item 7. The housing may be made from stainless steel or polypropylene plastic. The housing is made from a plurality of sub sections. The ink outlet port is located at the bottom of the tank and the inlets are located at the top of the vessel. |
