PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage tank having a dike and a construction method thereof, capable of constructing the dike of arranging a tension material in the vertical direction in a lower part such as the dike, without dividing construction into an upper part and a lower part.SOLUTION: After constructing a dike 5, a ground surface 15 in the periphery of a fixation part 9 is excavated, and an excavation hole 91 is provided. A tension material 17 in the vertical direction is inserted into a sheath pipe 21 buried in the dike 5, and the tension material 17 in the vertical direction is tensioned, and then, is fixed to the fixation part 9, and prestress force of becoming compressive force is introduced into a lower part of the dike 5. Unillustrated grout is injected into the sheath pipe 21 after introducing and fixing the tension material in the vertical direction. After fixing the tension material 17 in the vertical direction to the fixation part 9, the excavation hole 91 is back-filled. Thus, when providing the fixation part 9 on a side surface of a base slab 7, only the side surface periphery of the base slab 7 is preferably excavated, so that work is facilitated in inserting, tensioning and fixing the tension material 17 in the excavation and vertical direction into the sheath pipe. |
