PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emission device using a capacitor containing an electrolytic solution, such as an electric double-layered capacitor, which continuously performs flash lighting and suppresses lowering of the life of the capacitor.SOLUTION: When electric energy stored in a capacitor 111 containing an electrolyte solution is discharged and thereby an LED 110, which is a light emitting section, is made to emit light, a charging voltage control section 202 charges the capacitor 111 up to a second voltage lower than a first voltage which is capable of emitting light when a power source is activated, charges the capacitor 111 up to the first voltage when a preset operation is performed, and discharges the capacitor 111 until the voltage of the capacitor 111 is lowered to the second voltage after the LED 110 emits light. |
