PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading apparatus and a method of manufacturing the same which can suppress falling of a reading unit from a unit holding part in a manufacturing process after the reading unit is attached to the unit holding part.SOLUTION: A protrusion 73 of a close-contact image sensor unit 27 is inserted to a left insertion groove 63 of a unit holding part 26 from the right side to the left side and the close-contact image sensor unit 27 is attached to the unit holding part 26 in a state in which its position is determined in the cross direction. Then, contact glass is arranged on the upper side of the close-contact image sensor unit 27, a left end of the contact glass is inserted to a gap 89 below a rear standing part 82 and a gap 90 below a front standing part 84 of an attachment part 81 from the right side to the left side, and the contact glass is attached to the attachment part 81. |
