1. An information providing apparatus, comprising:
a communication unit configured to communicate with a first mobile terminal; a display configured to display information; and a controller configured to: control the communication unit to receive information from the first mobile terminal; control the display to display the received information when a vehicle in which the information providing apparatus is installed is in a non-driving state; determine whether the vehicle enters a driving state; and control the display to change the displayed information to path guidance information instead of the information received from the first mobile terminal when the vehicle is determined to be in the driving state.
