The invention relates to a friction clutch (1), containing a counter pressure plate arranged about an axis of rotation, a clutch housing (3) fixedly connected to the counter pressure plate, a pressure plate (4) associated with the counter pressure plate in a rotationally fixed and axially displaceable manner by means of leaf springs, a clutch disk having friction linings arranged axially between the counter pressure plate and the pressure plate (4), a diaphragm spring, which is loaded between the clutch housing (3) and the pressure plate (4), wherein, by means of displacement of diaphragm-spring fingers of the diaphragm spring arranged radially inside by means of a disengagement system, a frictional engagement between the friction linings, the counter pressure plate, and the pressure plate (4) can be controlled, and an adjustment device (5) that acts between the pressure plate (4) and the clutch housing (3) for compensating axial wear of the friction linings. Said adjustment device comprises a ramp device, which is arranged between the pressure plate (4) and the diaphragm spring, a spindle device, which is arranged on the pressure plate (4) and drives an adjustment ring of the ramp device and has a pinion (6) having a set of external teeth (9), and a pawl (7), which is associated with the clutch housing (3). In the non-adjusting state, the pawl slides on a tooth (10a) of the set of external teeth (9) in a preloaded manner during opening and closing operations of the friction clutch (1). In the case of wear, the pawl interlockingly engages in a next tooth (10b) of the set of external teeth (9) during a closing motion and then the pinion (7) rotates the adjustment ring and at least partially compensates the wear during the next opening operation. In order to ensure wear adjustment over the entire wear range, the pawl (7) axially extends over the center axis (M) of the pinion (7) in the new condition of the friction clutch and in the closed state. |
