In a method for operating a network, such as an automation network, a number of interconnected node devices are provided. There is a global time and the node devices detect operating parameters thereof. The operating parameters are assigned as content elements to a respective address element, in order to be stored in a tensor database structure. In this way, the control or adaptation of the operation of the network with its node devices and couplings is facilitated. The method is particularly suitable for use in supply networks, automated manufacturing plants, communications networks, transport networks and logistics networks. The proposed storage enables easy visualisation, presentation and evaluation of operating conditions of the network and of the node devices thereof. |
