1. An electrode binder composition for a capacitive deionization device, comprising:
a first hydrophilic polymer, a cross-linking agent, and an ion exchange group, the first hydrophilic polymer comprising a first structural unit and a second structural unit, the first structural unit represented by Chemical Formula 1 and including a zwitterionic functional group, the second structural unit represented by Chemical Formula 2 and including a cross-linkable functional group, wherein in Chemical Formula 1, R1, R2, and R3 are independently selected from hydrogen, a C1 to C20 alkyl group, a C2 to C20 alkenyl group, a C2 to C20 alkynyl group, a C3 to C30 cycloalkyl group, a C6 to C30 aryl group, or a combination thereof, R4 is selected from hydrogen, a C1 to C10 alkyl group, a C3 to C10 cycloalkyl group, a C6 to C20 aryl group, or a combination thereof, L1 is a single bond, a C1 to C20 alkylene group, a C2 to C20 alkenylene group, a C2 to C20 alkynylene group, a C3 to C30 cycloalkylene group, a C6 to C30 arylene group, or a combination thereof, and A is an anionic functional group, wherein in Chemical Formula 2, R5, R6, and R7 are independently selected from hydrogen, a C1 to C20 alkyl group, a C2 to C20 alkenyl group, a C2 to C20 alkynyl group, a C3 to C30 cycloalkyl group, a C6 to C30 aryl group, or a combination thereof, L2 is selected from a single bond, a C1 to C20 alkylene group, a C2 to C20 alkenylene group, a C2 to C20 alkynylene group, a C3 to C30 cycloalkylene group, a C6 to C30 arylene group, or a combination thereof, and R8 is a hydroxy group, a carboxyl group, a cyano group, or an acrylate group). |
