A multicast control method, comprising: detecting a network topology and link information; generating a plurality of multicast trees according to the network topology; according to the network topology and the link information, respectively calculating the weight of each multicast tree in the plurality of multicast trees, wherein the weight is used for indicating the priority for a switch to poll and select a corresponding multicast tree to transmit data; and issuing the weight of each multicast tree to the switch in a corresponding multicast tree.
