A local oscillator phase noise detection method and device and radio remote unit. The method comprises: adding a signal at a position shifted from a main signal by Δf to test a phase noise value at the position shifted from a local oscillator frequency by Δf. Detection of local oscillator phase noise performance is realized via a single ordinary signal source and by using a receiving channel of the radio remote unit itself. The present invention meets the demand of testing local oscillator performance during factory assembly in mass production. In addition, the local oscillator phase noise detection method is easy to implement, has a low cost and is suitable for wide application, thus effectively solving the problem in the prior art of a high cost caused by testing a phase noise value of a radio remote unit by using a phase noise measuring instrument.
