The invention relates to a valve actuation device (1) for a reciprocating piston internal combustion engine with at least one gas exchange valve per cylinder, said valve being actuatable via a camshaft (2). The camshaft (2) has at least one cam piece (3) which is rotationally fixed in an axially movable manner via a valve stroke switching device (7) and which comprises at least two different cam contours (4, 5). The valve stroke switching device (7) has at least one transmitter part (8) which can be axially moved at a distance to the cam shaft axis (2a) and interacts with a receiver part (9) connected to the cam piece (3). A simple and compact switch of the valve stroke is allowed by designing both the transmitter part (8) as well as the receiver part (9) in a rotationally symmetrical manner, said transmitter part (8) being mounted in a movable and rotational manner about an axis (12) parallel to the camshaft axis (2a). |
