The spanner 1 includes a handle 1.2 with two separate rectangular cross-sectioned converging cavities 1.12, 1.13. A sliding member 1.6, 1.7 including a locking element 1.5, 1.9 at each end is positioned into each of the cavities. By simultaneously moving each of the sliding members, the upper 1.5 and lower 1.9 locking elements can be locked or unlocked onto a work piece. The tool may be used with work pieces having outer and/or inner hexagonal shaped geometries. Two rectangular cross-sectioned members 1.4, 1.8 may slide in rectangular cavities 1.10, 1.11 when the sliding members move. |
