The invention relates to a seal assembly 100 suitable for use on a rotating shaft 10 which includes a support 20 having a first side 23, second side 24 and an opening 25. A shaft (which may have a shoulder) 10 extends through the opening and a circular seal 30 surrounds the circumference of the rod 10 and includes an annular lip 31 which extends through the opening 25 to the second side 24. The ring seal 30 prevents contaminants, debris or dust from entering a part such as a bearing whilst allowing lubrication to be contained. |
