Feature points in two images to be compared are detected, position information of the feature points is derived and local neighborhood descriptors of the feature points are derived, the local neighborhood descriptors not comprising position information. Those of the feature points of each image whose local neighborhood descriptors are similar to each other are grouped into feature point groups and the image similarity measure is derived from the groups. |
